- Collection of Personal Data
In order to provide our services, we collect and process personal data from our clients and other users of our websites, products and services. We may collect information from you or your device such as, but not limited to, your name, address, telephone number, email address, user IDs and passwords, billing and transaction information, debit/credit card or other financial information, contact preferences, and similar information provided (“Personal Data“). You are not required to provide us with all of the Personal Data listed above, but if you do not do so, we may not be able to effectively provide you with our services and information.
- Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not disclose your (former clients/current clients/prospective clients) any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of our practice except as required or permitted by law. Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to our employees, and in limited situations, to unrelated third parties who need to know that information to assist us in providing services to you. In all such situations, we stress the confidential nature of information being shared. We will not release any information to other parties, including other professionals with whom you do business without specific written authorization from you.

We retain records relating to our professional services to better serve your professional needs and, in some cases, to comply with professional guidelines. We strive to provide you with relevant and useful information related to our products and services. However, any promotional emails that we send will include a link at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe. More any promotional text that we send will include STOP option after text. Additionally, you can contact us using the information listed at the bottom of this policy to make changes to your communication preferences
- Automated Decisions
Personal data processed by BestifyTax is never used to make automated decisions that would have negative consequences for its data subjects.

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.
- Right to Access and Correct Your Personal Information
Upon request, BestifyTax will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. We will provide you with reasonable access to your personal information in accordance with relevant laws, including by making reasonable efforts to provide access to update your information. To protect your privacy and security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting access or making changes to your personal information.
- Data Disposal
BestifyTax will honor client requests to remove personal information from its data center and from any billing account data stored for future transactions. BestifyTax’s disposal process includes data removal from Data Center production databases. BestifyTax’s Data Disposal service requires a written request from the client. Thirty days are needed to complete a full data disposal request.
